Bidding & Estimating Janitorial Contracts

The First Step... is If the client invites a bid from your company - or agrees to receive one at your request - the next step in the sales process is to develop a proposal for providing services to the account. Most proposals include detailed cleaning specifications that describe the services you will provide, indicate the price for these services, and outline other contract terms. 

The Second Step... in putting together a proposal is to develop a bid for the job. This involves analyzing your costs and establishing a price for your service based on the needs of the client, the specifications, an a building walk-through.

The Building Walkthrough

The Third Step.... One of the most crucial steps in developing an accurate bid is to conduct a detailed site  inspection of the property, regardless of whether specifications are provided to each bidding contractor. 

The primary goal of the walkthrough is to gather technical information about the building that will affect performance and cost. However, the walkthrough also provides you with an opportunity to gain other valuable information that may help you win the bid.
